Merry, Merry Market Prep: Farmhouse Chairs Get Citified!

Check out the fancy pants on these great chairs!

Purchased from a friend whose hoarder tendencies were disrupting the marital harmony in her house, the pair arrived glossy white but not quite perfect. Maybe it was seeing them in their burlap skivvies, but I was inspired to distress them a bit more.

Love how it raised the detailing on this celtic knot design.

Then, fabric. My favorite application is to combine luxe textiles with rougher or vintage frames. Enter Robert Allen and a gorgeous orchid and cocoa hombre damask design. These guys get loaded up shortly (along with their friend, the X-bench below!) for the Merry, Merry Market, starting this afternoon at 6 p.m. at the Dunn Bros. in the Smith Douglas More House. See you then!
